What is the underwater photoshoot?
Our world-class photoshoots capture that special moment of your little one swimming under the water. A truly unique moment to enjoy forever.
You will get to select from all your best high-quality images; choosing only those you wish to keep!
How does it work?
Similar to your normal lesson, you’ll be in the pool together. You’ll warm-up with a teacher, then head over to our underwater studio.
Your little one will usually have three submersions where we’ll capture them swimming underwater.
As always, we assess every child individually and once they’re ready, we’re ready.
STEP 1
Ensure you are eligible for the photoshoot
Can your child:
- Do a submersion with a teacher they are not familiar with?
- Do at least 3 side-ribcage submersions in one class?
- Hold their breath during submersion for at least 3 counts?
- Complete an underwater pass from teacher to parent?
If you don’t think your child is ready for individual shots just yet, consider parent, sibling or family photos!
- As long as they are comfortable, a parent can submerge with the child for the photo. The child just needs to be comfortable submerging for 2 counts.
- Another option is for an older sibling to submerge with their younger sibling, both with a breath control of 3+ counts.
STEP 2
Book your time slot
Book a time slot with the photographer for each child and pay the Booking Fee of $60 + tax per time slot. This fee covers staff, facility and equipment (no images.)

- Login to your Parent Portal
- From the top right menu, click on ‘Classes & Events’
- Click on ‘Find Events’
- Select a time and book your spot!
STEP 3
Come in on picture day
Come in on picture day to do your 3 submersions with the photographer. A trained Water Babies professional will be responsible for dipping each child during the underwater shoot.
STEP 4
Choose your photos
Within 3 weeks, you will receive a link to view your photos. Choose the images you like, purchase the package of your choice and download the high-resolution images.
Photo package pricing:
- One photo – $90 +tax
- Two photos – $135 +tax
- Three photos – $170 +tax
- All photos – $185 +tax (up to 12 images)
