What we provide
We offer lessons for all ages and abilities to help your child thrive in the water.
Baby Swimming
Age 0-1
At the start of our program, your baby will build a brilliant foundation in swimming with Team Pearl, learning safety, improving confidence and promoting movement, with special bonding time in the water between you and baby.
Toddler Swimming
Age 1-2
Toddlers embark on an immersive swimming journey with Team Saffi, building confidence through play and fun activities. As they progress, they gain independence, refine techniques and develop essential swimming skills.
Toddler & preschool swimming
Age 2-3
Children aged between 2 to 3 build strength and independence in swimming with Team Echo. They’ll develop safety awareness, communication skills and confidence as they prepare for key developmental milestones.
Early years swimming
Age 3-4
Children aged 3-4 will refine their swimming techniques, build endurance and gain confidence in the water in Team Sculli. They develop stronge strokes and safety awareness, preparing them for swimming independently.
Child swimming
Age 4+
Children aged 4+ will swim strong and stay safe as they become more independent and adventurous as they graduate our Water Babies program and join our Swimvincible program. Scroll to explore more.
Swimming solo
Age 4-8+
Children aged 4+ will swim strong and stay safe as they become more independent and explore swimming without parents in the pool to start a new aquatic adventure.
Swimming confident
Age 7-9+
Children aged 7+ will build on technique and endurance as they become confident swimmers, from water safety to strokes.
Swimming strong
Age 8+
Children will become swimming legends as they achieve their Treasures, concentrate on swimming distances and techniques, ready to explore water in more depth.

How our Water Babies lessons work
Supportive lessons
With a maximum of 10 babies, a carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Tailored Progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your baby’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
Have fun
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
How our Swimvincible lessons work
Progressive lessons
With a maximum of 4 kids in the pool in each lesson, teachers will either be in the pool or out, depending on your child’s swimming ability and Team.

Fun, structured lessons take place at the same day and time each week, to build real swimming skills.

Getting ready for your lesson
We’ve got everything you need ready for your first lesson, so you feel prepared ahead of getting in the pool.
- Happy Nappy DUO. Your baby or toddler will need either a Happy Nappy DUO, or Happy Nappy with a reuseable swim nappy underneath.
- Towel. One for your child and one for you.
- Changing mat. Our Bubba changing mat is perfect and means you can change your baby easily, wherever you are.
- Warm hat. Little heads get cold easily after swimming.
- Swimwear for you. Many customers arrive to our lessons ‘beach ready’ so all they need to do is change their baby or toddler when they get to their lessons.
- Snacks and a drink for on the way home. Swimming is great for building an appetite.
For our older children, aged 4+
- Swimwear - Practical swimwear for your child. Since they’re in our Swimvincible older program, they no longer need to follow the double diaper system.
- Towel - To dry off after the lesson.
- Goggles – Help your child swim strong and stay safe underwater.
- One bag only – Please bring just the essentials to keep things simple.
- Snacks & a drink for the ride home – Swimming works up an appetite! Just remember to wait until you’ve left the venue before enjoying them.

Program FAQs
Our Water Babies world, Oceans of Imagination, is an immersive swimming experience where little ones learn a skill for life. You’ll be guided by our team of Swimvincibles, on your own, individual swimming adventure, tailored to your needs. Every water baby will join one of our swimming superheroes, The Swimvincibles, in their Team. They’ll work towards progressing key swimming skills and collecting Water Babies Treasures along the way, with their Swimvincible Team member leading the way. This includes everything from badges and stickers to certificates, highlighting your child’s achievements as they travel through our programme.
If you’re looking for baby and toddler swimming lessons, you’ll be part of our Water Babies program. When your little one turns 4, or you’d like to join lessons at 4, you’ll join our Swimvincible program, an older swimming program for children aged 4years+.
The Swimvincibles are a team of swimming superstars, who head up our swim Teams at Water Babies. They’ll inspire and guide your baby and toddler through their swimming journey with us. Starting with Pearl for our new baby classes through to Saffi, Echo and Sculli, as you head for independent swimming and join our Swimvincible program.
A Team represents where your child is in their swimming journey with Water Babies, with our littlest water babies starting with Team Pearl, and our big water babies swimming in Team Sculli. Then, you’ll join our Swimvincible program in Team Adventurers, and swim strong and stay safe until Team Legends where you graduate from the program.
You’re a ‘Swimvincible in training’ from your very first lesson with Water Babies. Whether that’s from birth, or up to 4 years old. There are four Teams in total in our Water Babies program, and you’ll progress through a team in a year. Once you graduate from our baby and toddler program in Water Babies, your little one will officially become a Swimvincible and work towards becoming a swimming legend in our Swimvincible older program. This is from 4 years+.
As an official Swimvincible, you’ll learn to become a swimming legend from your very first lesson in our older program. There are six Teams in total, and you’ll progress through a team depending on your kid’s ability and progression.
Mystery Island weeks are a chance to have extra fun and let imaginations run wild! We have few sprinkled through the year as special events in class, with a chance to wear fancy dress and get involved in a themed lessons.
For Water Babies customers, badges are awarded at special celebratory Island badge weeks planned into our swimming calendar. There are three spread out evenly throughout each swimming year, which are collected on the way to achieving each Team Swimvincible badge.
For Swimvincible customers, you’ll earn badges as you progress through the Teams and learn new skills. Your instructor will track your child’s progress based on their own unique swimming journey. Once you’ve completed the skills in your Team, you’ll then progress to the next level.
You get four Water Babies badges per year! There are three Island badges (Cloudfish Cove, Lighthouse Lagoon and Floating Forest) spread out evenly throughout a swimming year, which are collected on the way to achieving each Team Swimvincible badge.
